The route from Iselworth along the A316, down the Kew Road then back along the Mortlake Road to home encountered only a few sets of lights, only one of which was red, and hardly any traffic. This was after a breezy ride round the majority of Richmond Park took the total for the journey home to approx 24 miles.
The conditions have improved significantly from the last couple of months, with temperatures above freezing, little rain, no snow and the nasty northerly wind having dropped a lot. Tuesday's ride was a joy in comparison to the hard, headwind effected miles of last week.
January's mileage will be a big step forward - much needed before the day after day 'century' rides that await in April when we set off!
